Season 3 of ‘TIL DEATH has come to a close and I’d just like to take a moment to thank everyone who made the past 7 months a truly memorable experience. From the writers, to the production office staff, to the crew - I could not have asked for a better group of people to spend my first production with. I sincerely hope to work with them all in the future, and for those who will be there for ‘TIL DEATH Season 4, I wish you all the best.
As for now, I still am working with by current boss for the next few months, and then what happens when summer comes is up in the air. I look forward to the future and my ever continuing education in the world of entertainment.
I’ve accepted a position as the assistant to the showrunner of the FBC/Sony comedy ‘TIL DEATH. I am really excited to switch over to production and be involved with a show. I think this is a great move for me as I continue my path towards being a writer.
I’d like to say thanks to all the people at ICM who made it a pleasure to be there. You hear horror stories about assistant life at an agency (or you watch ENTOURAGE) but I’m grateful to say that my time at ICM was mostly positive, save for maybe a week or so during staffing season when I about lost my head. Oh, and the WGA strike really, really sucked.
I do have to give a special thanks to my boss at the agency, Greg, who always took the time to teach me about what was going on, always kept his cool and never hesitated to answer any of my questions. He was a great guy to work for and his success is a testament to his professionalism and his kindness. I wish him all the best.
My first job in Los Angeles is as an agent’s assistant at International Creative Management (ICM). I’m very excited and pleased to have been offered the position and I look forward to learning about the agency business from the inside.
I have completed my relocation to the city of Los Angeles, California.
I’ve completed the requirements for my Master of Arts Management degree from Columbia College Chicago and participated in the 2007 graduation ceremonies.
I’ve decided to move to Los Angeles, California to pursue work in film and/or television. I am currently researching and following leads for internships and jobs. I hope to be out there no later than June 1st, 2007.
I’ll be graduating with my Masters in Arts Management from Columbia College Chicago on May 12th, 2007. I will be looking to move immediately there after.
This is the show I worked as a Production Assistant on during my summer internship at Towers Productions. I worked for about a month on transcribing tapes, media logging, digitizing, fact checking, and assisting in the editing process by scanning b-rolls for good visuals and such. After my month as a PA on this show I jumped into Development, where I spent my final two months.
Here is a link to the History Channel’s store with information about the show and the DVD for purchase. They reshow it here and there - it premiered in October 2006. Try to catch it!
My summer Internship at Towers Productions ended at the end of July. I was sad to leave but my 360 hours were up and my job with Columbia College Residence Life was beginning again.
The first month I was with Towers I worked as a Production Assistant on an exciting show for The History Channel airing this fall. I did a lot of work prepping the show for the editing stage, such as tape entry, tape logging, tape transcribing, fact checking, archive footage research, image research, and more. When I find out the air date and time I will be sure to make a posting.
After the first month I got my chance to dive into what I really wanted: Development. Working in Development was a fantastic experience. I helped research and develop new show ideas for cable networks such as The Discovery Channel, The History Channel, and National Geographic. I was the producer on a pitch reel and the main author on a couple treatments that went out to our contacts at the cable networks. I gained a lot of knowledge and experience on the entire Development process and it reaffirmed my feelings that working in Development would be a challenging, fun, and rewarding career goal for my future.
I have nothing but compliments and thanks for Towers Productions and the staff I worked with during the summer. I had a great time and hope to keep in contact with them all.
I am happy to announce that I will be interning this summer at Towers Productions.
I’m currently looking for a summer internship, preferrably in film. This may be challenging in Chicago, but hopefully something will present itself.
